Lake Montbel

Accessible by bike via the greenway, in the heart of a mountainous and rugged landscape, near the most beautiful sites of the destination, it is a very pleasant spot for swimming, fishing, walking and water sports, leaving travelers amazed by the azure color of the water and the large extent of the lake (550ha, 60 million m3 of water).

For families, there is a well-equipped and supervised beach nearby on the Léran side, which delights toddlers!

For others, more secluded and peaceful spots, though unsupervised, are accessible all around the lake!

Lake Carla-Bayle

Below the beautiful village of Carla-Bayle, the lake is nestled in the heart of a verdant valley. Choose your activity!

In the village, you can admire the panorama and the ramparts.

To please the children, do not leave the town without having enjoyed its adventure park, the Sequoia Vertigo, with zip line, treasure hunts and arboretum.

Lake Mondély

Near La Bastide de Sérou, Lake Mondély, nestled in its wild, forested surroundings, offers tranquility, birdwatching, fishing, and hiking trails. Take the opportunity to visit the Reptile Farm, a mini world tour of cold-blooded animals!

Lake Filheit

A pleasant 62-hectare lake located near Mas d’Azil.

It’s an ideal spot for fishing: easy access (by car) and a healthy population of predatory fish (perch, pike, and zander) and coarse fish suggest the potential for increased visitor numbers.

/!\ Swimming is prohibited in the lake; it’s dangerous due to the dam.

/!\ Water sports are prohibited.

Since spring 2022 the Tour du Lac hiking/mountain biking loop is open: approximately 8km of pleasant walk alternating between passage through the woods and close to the banks of the lake.

Mercus Garrabet

Access to the site, its beach, and its bar-restaurant is free and open all day. Water sports are available daily from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Activities:

– Water ski lift: water skiing, wakeboarding, kneeboarding, wake skating… For experienced riders, three features are available: two kickers and a flat box.
