Horseback Riding in Ariège
Ariège boasts 1,400 km of marked and maintained equestrian trails, around sixty equestrian accommodations, and equestrian tourism professionals at your service to guide you on your rides. Its preserved natural and cultural heritage will reveal the rich history of Ariège as you explore.
Since 2014, a guidebook featuring 450 km of trails in the foothills and mid-mountain regions has been available: “The Tour of Ariège on Horseback“. Also worth discovering are the GR 78: the Pyrenean Foothills Trail – Saint James of Compostela, the GR 107: the Way of the Good Men, the GR 7, the Cathar Green Way, the Foix – Saint Girons Green Way, the Cathar Trail…
Whether at a walk, a trot, or a canter, everyone can find their own pace to discover or practice horseback riding in all its forms and appreciate the joys of life with horses. Suitable for the whole family and all levels.
